Both are played regularly at patriotic concerts.
Both songs are in the medley "An American Pageant", which has been played at every presidential inauguration at least since Ronald Reagan.

The Investors Savings Bank Foundation, which provides charitable grants to programs that enhance the neighborhoods the bank serves, has awarded $5,000 in support of the Scotch Plains Public Library's scheduled Abraham Lincoln exhibit.

Less than a month before the start of the Civil War, a newly inaugurated President Abraham Lincoln took time from his frantic schedule to write to a child in Illinois whose classmates didn't believe he'd met the president.
A company that buys and sells historic documents sold the letter for $60,000 to a private collector and civil war buff.
The Raab Collection in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania originally purchased the note from another collector, said Nathan Raab, the company's vice president.

In Plymouth, on Thursday, there was a flurry of last-minute preparations in anticipation of the town's Thanksgiving parade and celebration.
Crews worked to put the finishing touches on the floats that will travel down the parade route on Saturday.
Those floats promise to be both creative and well-crafted.

The November meeting of The Athene Study Group was Friday, Nov. 13, at the home of Joyce Riss. The speaker was Luceille Werner, who discussed many little known facts about the life of Abraham Lincoln, including a book titled, "Abraham Lincoln's Two Mothers," by Dorothy Clarke Wilson.
Twelve members attended.
The December meeting will be the annual Christmas party at the Pines restaurant Friday, Dec. 11.
